A slew of raids, arrests and corruption investigations have been launched in opposition to opposition figures, with costs dropped in opposition to some who later joined Mr Modi’s celebration.

The BJP says legislation enforcement companies are performing independently of the federal government, with a spokesperson accusing Mr Kejriwal’s celebration of enjoying the “sufferer card”.

Rahul Gandhi, chief of the opposition Congress celebration, wrote on X: “A scared dictator desires to create a useless democracy.”

Congress has individually accused the federal government of freezing its checking account in an try to cripple its election campaigning.

In the meantime, AAP politician Raghav Chadha stated: “India is underneath an undeclared emergency. Our democracy stands critically endangered as we speak.”
